The Gold Coast Watercolor Society, South Florida’s largest watercolor organization, is holding its 36th Annual Members Only Juried Exhibition at the Broward County Main Library, 100 S. Andrews Avenue. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33301 from March 3rd to March 30th, 2011.

The show, which will be judged by Charles Passarelli, FWS, Teacher and award winning artist, will have its opening reception on Monday, March 7th, from 3:00 pm until 5:00 pm. Admission is free and the public is invited to attend.

The Gold Coast Watercolor Society, which was founded in 1976 and is the only Broward-based organization dedicated to the medium of watercolor, offers a variety of activities designed to foster the advancement the art of watercolor painting. The group hosts workshops taught by nationally recognized artists, “paint-ins” featuring live models, and lectures and demonstrations by selected artists. The approximately 300 member artists also have the opportunity to display their work at the society’s annual membership exhibition and at other juried competitions throughout the tricounty area. The group meets on the third Tuesday of every month at 7 p.m. at ArtServe, 1350 E. Sunrise Blvd., Fort Lauderdale from October through May.
