    In the year 2024, a matrix of subway tunnels stretches throughout Europe. The working class is constantly watched by Big Brother. Fear and mystery are commonplace, accepted as the daily routine. Darkness and shadows are everywhere.

    Roger, our unlikely hero, is as he prefers, riding his bike in the ever present rain while the hordes of the populace flood the subway system like rats in hiding. Roger uses the time to think…but as his love relationship sours, he constantly obsesses about a sexy femme fatale who appears in shampoo ads. On one such day, Roger’s thoughts are invaded by a voice that begins to converse with him...as does the shampoo girl! What is going on!

    A dark, animated tale with echoes of Kafka, METROPIA has an uncanny way of projecting emotion through the beautifully drawn illustrations. Caught between BLADE RUNNER and THE THIRD MAN, METROPIA is a curious blend of humor, suspense and intrigue.
