FESTIVALS & OUTDOOR EVENTS

The South Florida chapter of the American Institute of Wine and Food’s 7th annual Culinary Cook-Off offers guests barbeque beef brisket and side dishes from the five competing AIWF culinary schools, plus additional food sampling stations from area restaurants and a variety of wine and beer, amid the beautiful botanical gardens of Flamingo Gardens.

Culinary School participants include Johnson & Wales University, Le Cordon Bleu, Florida International University, The Art Institute, and Lincoln Culinary Institute; each school will be vying for the Cow Trophy for best barbeque Beef Brisket with sides Champion! Additional participants include East Coast BBQ, Smitty’s BBQ, Susie’s Scrumptious Sweets and Whole Foods Market. Wine and beverages will be provided by Republic National, International Wine Imports, Peachy Canyon Winery, and Re:newal Water. Live entertainment will be provided by The Charlie Steiner Jazz Trio.
