    Kurt Elling
Chicago native Kurt Elling is the most accomplished male jazz singer extant. In a career spanning 14 years, 42-year-old Elling has risen to international prominence as a jazz artist and creative singer. An intellectual superman, he is a master of "vocalese" and scatting. Each of his eight albums was nominated for a Grammy Award and the most recent won the Grammy for Best Vocal Jazz Album in 2010. He is a perennial critics poll-winner and his quartet tours the world, performing to critical acclaim in Europe, Asia, Canada, Israel, and Australia. This will be Mr. Elling's fourth performance for South Florida JAZZ.
