La Sonnambula (Choreography by Balanchine/Music by Rieti)
A one-act dramatic ballet set during a mysterious masked ball, La Sonnambula (The Sleepwalker), is a tale of exotic intrigue. The sleepwalker skimming the stage on pointe in her white flowing gown with her glowing candle held before her; the doomed poet. Noted dance writer Arlene Croce wrote, "The emotion of the ballet comes in a series of nervous shocks, as deeply pleasurable as a horror story. The ending is high traumatic bliss."

Baker's Dozen (Choreography by Tharp/Music by Smith) -- Company Premiere
Twyla Tharp, with her "prankster's sense of humor" (The New York Times), flings a dozen dancers onto the stage -- hustling, spinning and shimmying, yet romantically inclined -- to the irresistible stride piano of the immortal Willie "The Lion" Smith. Sheer exhilarating fun!

Western Symphony (Choreography by Balanchine/Music western tunes arranged by Kay)
One of George Balanchine's most joyous ballets, Western Symphony, set to themes based on traditional western songs, reflects the great choreographer's lifelong affection for the traditions and myths of America's far West. The ballet merges Wild West stereotypes with classical ballet conventions, offering a seemingly incompatible combination and a good deal of humor.
    Pas de Deux TBA
