Clyde Butcher, a nationally recognized conservationist, uses his breathtaking photography to help preserve natural environments throughout the nation. This exhibit features nearly 60 immense, and shockingly beautiful, black-and-white views of American landscapes. During opening weekend, guests will have the opportunity to meet Clyde Butcher and learn about his beautiful and delicate world of photographing nature. Wilderness Visions of America majestically captures the natural landscape from some of the most well known, national parks in America. The impeccable collection of large silver-gelatin prints will make visitors feel as if they have traveled across the nation and landed in the middle of pristine landscapes. See these huge luminous black and whites and you’ll understand why many have compared Clyde Butcher to Ansel Adams. This exhibit is sponsored locally by American Express.

Butcher has been the recipient of many awards during his more than 40-year career, including the Sierra Club’s Ansel Adams Conservation Award, which is given to a photographer who shows excellence in photography and has contributed to the public awareness of the environment. He also has been honored by the state of Florida with the highest award that can be given a private citizen: the Artist Hall of Fame Award.
