    Cinema Paradiso has been selected as the venue to host Bob Marley Arts Institute Reggae Music & Technology Expo, and Reggae Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony 2010. The Expo will be held Friday, September 10 through Saturday, September 11 from 11:00am - 11:00pm. Technological innovators, artists, DJs, producers, radio and video programmers, retailers, distributors, audio manufacturers among others will be represented.

     

    Presenters and artists can sign in for the Expo beginning at 11:00AM on Friday, September 10. Opening day, will begin with an introduction followed by the New Artists Showcase including live performance and music on CD. Other activities include: Reggae Walk of Fame One Million Computer Drive for Schools in Jamaica with emphasis on Wireless Internet, BobArtsTV Community & Music Producers Forum, Jamaican Community Media Network Reggae & Music Theatres in Reggae Schools forum, Wireless Internet Technology for Reggae Music Marketing, Bob Marley for Jamaica Hero Status, Bob Marley Highway Symposium, and Reggae Centralization Organization Symposium.

     

    At 9:00pm Saturday, September 11 will be the highly anticipated Reggae Walk of Fame Induction Ceremony. The luminaries whose names will be inaugurated on September 11 include: Former Third World drummer William Stewart and drummer Desmond Gaynor will be attending to accept their honors and the honor for the late Lincoln "Sugar" Minot. Jamaican actor Paul Campbell will also attend to accept his tribute. Also expected to attend are Reggae Ambassadors Carlton Coffie, Bunny Wailer, Peter Tosh, Jimmy Cliff, I-Three and Brigadier Jerry. The event will be broadcast on the internet, worldwide by Free-I Radio

     

    Now under construction, the mile-long Reggae Walk of Fame leads to the Reggae Cultural Village located on Flamingo Beach, Falmouth/Trelawny, Jamaica (Sister City to Lauderhill, Florida) at the border of St. James. The arts and culture center will also serve as an entertainment museum at the Bob Marley School for the Arts Institute.
