Everglades Bird Festival

Flamingo Gardens goes to the birds on Labor Day with the Everglades Bird Festival. Everglade birds will be featured with a special guided tour of the open-air Aviary, Raptor demonstrations and bird presentations throughout the gardens, and special talks and lectures on birds and birding during the day. There will be a wildlife and bird Arts & Crafts Fair in the entry courtyard, and organizations such as the Audubon Society and American Birding Association will be present to inform and answer questions. The highlight of the festival is the new exhibit “For the Birds,” featuring the nature photography of Dick Fortune and Sara Lopez.
