Among the artists on May 9 will be the four principal artists from FGO’s Carmen production: Mezzo-soprano Kendall Gladen, who appears in the title role; soprano Elaine Alvarez, who appears as Michaëla, tenor Adam Diegel, who sings Don José, and Mark Walters, who performs the role of the toreador Escamillo. Andrew Bisantz, Florida Grand Opera’s Resident Conductor, will accompany the singers and Justin Moss will introduce each musical selection and briefly explain its context.
