Gilda's Club South Florida will host its 15th Annual "Live!…From South Florida…It's Saturday Night!" fundraiser on Saturday, May 1st at the Parker Playhouse in Fort Lauderdale. Headlining this year is comedian Larry Miller, who having made a reputation in Hollywood with a series of brilliantly done character parts in movies such as Pretty Woman, Best in Show and 10 Things I Hate About You, is also known as one of the drollest, yet funniest stand-up comics since the prime of Bill Cosby. A regular guest on the late night talk shows, including The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Show with David Letterman, Miller has starred in several of his own HBO comedy specials. Gilda’s Club South Florida is a free cancer support community for women, men, children, and teens with all types of cancer and their families and friends. We offer networking groups, lectures, workshops, specialized children’s and teen programs, and social events in a nonresidential, non-medical, home-like setting. Our innovative program is an essential complement to medical care, providing networking and support groups, workshops, education and social activities.
