Girls’ Club presents a series of four artist talks free and open to the public. Gain a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process of local artist Samantha Salzinger. Samantha Salzinger graduated in 1997 with an MFA from Yale and has since exhibited at Locust Projects, Gallery Diet, the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood, and the Wyman Arts Center in Baltimore. She is a recipient of the South Florida Cultural Consortium Fellowship in Visual and Media Art. Her work has been reviewed in Art and Auction, Art Papers, The Miami Herald, and Arte al Dia. Salzinger lives and works in Broward County where she is currently an Associate Professor and Art Department Chair at Palm Beach Community College teaching classes in photography and art history. Formerly, she served as Director of Exhibitions at the Art and Culture Center of Hollywood. Salzinger's photographs explore themes of reality and fiction utilizing the mechanism of the diorama, creating hand-built miniatures of the landscape and catastrophic events of nature.
