The Fort Lauderdale Gay Men's Chorus presents their season's most formal concert, "Brave Souls & Dreamers". Originally commissioned by the Portland Oregon Gay Men's Chorus, this cantata draws on inspirational words from Gandhi, Jesus, Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama, Isaiah, Confucius and Buddha. The text boldly contrasts a prevailing hope for peace with the devastating realities of war, including its consequences for families.

      I felt so inspired by the music and words of this masterpiece. Years to come this will definitely enter the mainstream of music and be considered a great masterpiece. This inspiring work of music will live on and most likely be on the par of some of the classical masterpieces that we listen to now. I hope everyone will have the chance to experience this work which expresses the futilty of war and the fact that we have had some rare people who have come out and spoke against the brutality and senselessness of war.
