Clever Camels: Camels are very resourceful animals. They store water in their blood, food in their humps and they can walk effortlessly on sand. Join Museum staff as they demonstrate the scientific principles that explain why a camel can achieve such tasks. Learn about how the camel has adapted to life in the desert and learn about how camels rely on the distribution of pressure to achieve locomotion. Creatures of the Red Sea: The Red Sea is very unique in that no rivers flow into it. It's where the desert meets the sea. It is 7,254 feet deep at its deepest point but in its shallow areas it has some of the most spectacular scuba diving sites in the world. Over 1,000 different invertebrates live in the Red Sea with 200 types of hard and soft corals. It was formed over 30 million years ago by the movement of plates under the Earth's surface and its still growing today. Join Museum staff as they take you on an educational tour of this truly magnificent place.
