"You're going out there a youngster, but you've got to come back a star!" says producer Julian Marsh to fresh-off-the-bus chorus girl Peggy Sawyer when the show's star unexpectedly breaks her ankle and Peggy is thrust into the spotlight to take her place. Featuring such Broadway classics as We're in the Money, You're Getting to be a Habit with Me, and the show's title song 42nd Street proves that the two most beautiful words in the English language are indeed musical comedy.
