This concert will feature a selection of music ranging from the earliest forms of American music, beginning in the 1700's through the 1950's. The chorale will look at the complete songbook, beginning with the spirituals of the American South, the early minstrel songs, the beginning of gospel in the early 1900's, vaudeville, ragtime, big band, blues, American folk and the beginning of rock n' roll.
