Born and raised in Havana, Cuba, Jorge Leon immigrated to the United States in the 1980s and he became an American citizen. An architect by training but an artist at heart, Leon worked as an architectural project manager for years while he painted as a hobby. Leon is now a full time artist, living and working part of the year in Fort Lauderdale, and the other half in Sitges, Spain. An exhibit of Leon's watercolors will be on display at the Stonewall Library & Archives.
