Houston Symphony - The Planets - An HD Odyssey
January 31, 2010
Add Review/CommentSince the Houston Symphony Orchestra's revered musical director Leopold Stokowski first introduced Gustav Holst's The Planets back in the 1950s, both the symphony and Holst's powerful orchestral suite have gone on to major renown. Now, the Houston Symphony Orchestra will celebrate the 40th anniversary of the first moon landing and the city that has become synonymous with this endeavor, by performing The Planets in a dazzling specatcle that incorporates state of the art film from NASA's exploration of the solar system and the beautiful music of the Houston Symphony.
