Fushu Daiko - Smart Stage Series

This dynamic performance by a company of twelve Taiko drummers teaches audiences about the roots of Taiko drumming and its growth throughout the United States. This 2,000 year old art form consists of many different kinds of drums from the small shime daiko to the 9 foot tall odaiko. The performance consists of live narration to guide the students through the drumming experience, which is interspersed with amazing high-energy percussion.
