Seminoles Look Back features 128 postcards of Seminole Tribal members selected from the museum's extensive postcard collection. Postcards of Seminole Tribal citizens were highly collected souvenirs in the decades of the 1910's to 1940's. The museum has a collection of over 580 different postcards of which only a fraction will be displayed. The exhibit seeks to examine some of the ways in which the Seminole and Miccosukee People were portrayed in this medium. The exhibit will also include artifacts, from the museum's collection, which are featured in some of the postcards. In addition to reviewing some major themes appearing in Seminole postcards the exhibit discusses the work of several photographers plus tribal commentary, which includes comments on the relatives of the tribal members featured in the postcards, most notably Cory Osceola.
