For the 18th summer, Symphony of the Americas collaborates with an outstanding European orchestra, Remenyi Ede Hungarian Chamber Orchestra, under the baton of Maestro James Brooks-Bruzzese, Artistic Director, for its Summerfest 2009. Orchestra concerts feature the music of Vivaldi, Bach, Copland, Hungarian composer Gyorgy Orban, and the premiere of new works by Cuban composer Alfredo Munar. Performances are highlighted by the music of Rachmaninoff and David Popper featuring cellist Endre Balog and the music of Wieniawski arranged and performed by concert master/soloist Laszlo Pap.
