Program II features both The Golden Section and Slaughter on Tenth Avenue. The Golden Section will appear for the first time performed by Miami City Ballet. This Twyla Tharp classic, with original music by David Byrne, is pure energy as thirteen dancers in gold costumes sail, soar and tear through the air of the stage's golden glowing light. Slaughter on Tenth Avenue is taken from the hit Rodgers and Hart Broadway musical On Your Toes, this story of gangsters, strippers and attempted murder, all with unusual elements, is a fast paced and wildly entertaining classic.
