Women's Arts: Don't Back Down

This event features works from female artists and will have live music and a red tent exhibit with workshops utilizing all three floors of our venue space. This is an arts and education outreach project inviting women and girls from a cross-section of society - including women in distress and disadvantaged girls - to learn about their rich histories through educational arts workshops and performances. The women will study African beading skills, the history and original purpose of the art of belly dancing, empowered images of women outside of that typically seen in the media, and healing through the creation of art. Schedule: Workshops run from 4:00pm-7:00pm, art and performances from 7:00pm to midnight.
