Suor Angelica is a tragic tale of an aristocrat who is sent to a nunnery as penance for her teenage pregnancy, and out of despair, poisons herself when she learns of the death of her son. And if that is not enough to tear your heart out, Pagliacci, the famous play-within-a-play, is the story of a clown who makes others laugh while sobbing inside because his two-timing wife has taken a young lover. His overwhelming jealousy leads to rage, revenge and murder.
