This concert is performed during Black History Month and honors the historic significance of the inauguration of President Barack Obama. Morehouse College is one of the nation's top ranked institutions and noted world-wide as one of the best colleges in the country for educating African American leaders and the only all-male historically black college in the world. The Glee Club, with over 40 students studying in a wide range of academic majors, has made appearances all over the world during its more than 90 years of existence. It is one of the nation's premier choral groups. Its concerts combine the excitement and artistic musical excellence in a number of genres including the American and European classics, African, and beloved selections from the African- America and Caribbean experience.
