This lecture, led by Eurydice Kamvisselli, will be a discussion of the definition of an artistic masterpiece and the definition of a sophisticated art viewer, focusing on Jackson Pollock and Vincent Van Gogh, using Roland Barthes' reading of Guido Crepax's illustration of the story of O and Arthur Danto: 'There is no art work until someone writes about it.'
