Step By Step Foundation recruited more than 200 artists, celebrities and well-known personalities to participate in the most important project to date, the construction of an elementary school in Lahaie, Haiti called the Tipa Tipa school. Venezuelan sculptor Jorge Blanco was commissioned to design a small, coffee-table sized sculpture that was inspired by the Step by Step Foundation logo.
All works of art will be exhibited over a period of two weeks at the prestigious Durban-Segnini Gallery in Miami. Durban-Segnini will be inviting more than 1,000 of their clients to preview all the works at a special preview event to be held on Thursday. December 11, 2008 from 6:00PM to 10:00PM at Durban-Segnini’s gallery in Coral Gables. A full-color catalog with photographs of all works will be published in conjunction with the event.
All activities will culminate in the actual Step by Step Art Auction which will be held on the evening of Saturday, December 13, 2008 where it is anticipated that all sculptures will be sold with proceeds going to support the completion of the Tipa Tipa school in Lahaie, Haiti.
Step by Step Foundation will release more details on the progress of this event in the near future. For more information call 305.458.8780.
