The Broward County Aviation Department is seeking professional visual artists who are interested in participating in theArt and Jazz in the RCCeventbeing held as part of the National Travel and Tourism Week celebration at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

The event, to be held at the airport’s Rental Car Center on May 10 from 6:00 – 8:30 pm, is intended to thank visitors for using FLL by providing them with a relaxing environment filled with music and a chance to experience the work of our local artists.

Artists interested in participating must consider the following before applying:

Artists will be provided with a 6 or 8 foot wide table and a chair. There are no exhibit/display walls available, but artists are encouraged to bring their own.
Artwork to be displayed must be family-friendly.
If artists would like to do an art demonstration, they must bring their own easel and materials and a mat or fabric to protect the floor.
Artists will be required to set up their displays by 5:30 pm and to breakdown by 9:00 pm.
Parking vouchers will be provided to participants for free parking during the event.
There will be no electrical outlets/extension cords available.
The airport will promote the event and the participating artists in promotional materials.
Artists will receive exposure to a wide audience of potential customers.
Applications must be submitted by 2:00 pm on Friday, April 27.
A selection panel will review the applications received and will select up to 10 artists to participate in the event. Artists will be notified of their selection by Monday, April 30.
