Selections include everything from a setting of an ancient medieval chant by Hildegard of Bingen, to professionally choreographed selections from the hit musicals Hair and Les Miserables. Audiences will also enjoy the first South Florida performance of Imant Raminsh's “Songs of the Lights”, a setting of four Native America texts, and Suite de Lorca, a setting of poems by the celebrated Spanish poet Garcia Lorca. Along with these modern compositions, The Girl Choir of South Florida will be presenting the premier performance of its latest commissioned work, Celtic Blessing of Light, by acclaimed choral composer Eleanor Daley.
