The program will include a compilation of pieces including the main ballet, For Such ATime As This; The Story of Queen Esther. This original ballet is based on the biblical book of Esther. The book of Esther tells the story of a courageous woman who became a queen and risked everything to save her people. The music for the ballet is a compilation of pieces by Edvard Grieg. The ballet will be narrated by Cantor Bruce Benson of Temple Beth Am in Jupiter. =0D=0A=During the summer of 2009, this Ballet, which was conceived and =0D=0A=choreographed by Company Artistic Director Colleen Smith, was provided the unique opportunity of bringing this lovely ballet to the people of Budapest, Hungary. Owing to the tremendous response, this summer, =0D=0A=the company has been invited to Russia to perform in churches, park concerts, orphanages and a hospital. Touring will be three resident artists from the Company, along with apprentice and trainee dancers ranging in age from 15 to 18, who will be given this rare chance to dance overseas. “The story of Esther presented as a ballet allows us to offer a message of hope in a way that crosses all language barriers. The audience response in Budapest was so encouraging for the missionaries that word has spread =0D=0A=about FCBT. The experience of performing overseas is a thrill for the dancers and me.
