Village Arts District, will open "Altered States", the first exhibition in their new space located at 17 NW 5th St. Ft Lauderdale, FL 33308. =0D=0A==0D=0A=Altered States is a group exhibition curated by gallery directors Peter Symons and Leah Brown including works by AdrienneRose Gionta, Joni Younkins-Herzog, Donna Haynes, Leah Brown, Michael Russo, Pepe Mar, Peter Symons, Ricardo Chavarria, and Douglas Hoekzema. Each of these artists is exploring the relationship between the mental and the physical, from synesthesia to stream of consciousness, sexual anxiety to phrenology to neuroscience and philosophy of mind.=0D=0A==0D=0A=Art Fallout is a celebration of National Arts and Humanities Month, hosted by Girls’ Club in collaboration with 1310 Gallery at Sailboat Bend Artist Lofts and 18 Rabbit Gallery as an occasion to support the production and presentation of contemporary art in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.  Simultaneously, neighboring artist spaces and galleries will join in and host their own exhibition openings and events. Look for the round purple Fallout signs designating each location. A free bus will be available to transport attendees from one event space to the next. Free parking is available at: NW 1st Ave between NE 5th & NE 6th Streets in F.A.T.
