 oet-In-Residence Anastasia Clark announces the public debut of Our Poetic 
 Tribute to Amelia Earhart- a yearlong project to inspire people to create 
 poetry inspired by the life and legend of Amelia Earhart- famed lost pilot
 - who also wrote poetry herself. Forty two poets from mostly Broward Count
 y\, Florida\, contributed to the collection which will be on display at Am
 elia Earhart Birthplace Museum in Atchison\, KS during April National Poet
 ry Month. \n\n\n\nThe public is invited to a free\, public reading of the 
 poems on April 20\, 2012 (6:00-8:00pm) at Studio 18 in the Pines\, an art 
 gallery located at 1101 Poinciana Dr.\, Pembroke Pines\, FL 33025. \n\nThe
  event will be videographed by Samm Cooper.\n\n\n\nClark conducted free wo
 rkshops at local libraries and used the internet to reach out to emerging 
 and established poets to create the diverse collection. Original artwork w
 as provided by Shae Leighland-Pence. The poems and artwork were compiled i
 nto a hand-crafted heirloom quality leather album which was shared with th
 e public at a free reception hosted by The Naval Air Station Fort Lauderda
 le Museum on March 20\, 2012.\n\n\n\nSeveral museums and libraries\, inclu
 ding San Diego Air and Space Museum\, 1941 Historical Aircraft Group Museu
 m (Geneseo\, NY)\, International Women's Air & Space Museum (Cleveland\, O
 H) and Purdue University Libraries System (West Lafayette\, IN) will also 
 be displaying the collection during April 2012. \n\n\n\nFunding for this e
 vent is provided in part by the Broward County Board of County Commissione
 rs as recommended by the Broward Cultural Council. This project is also su
 pported in part by an award from the National Endowment for the Arts.\n\n

 eMerge Magazine\, Total Real Estate Consultants\, Inc.\, Naval Air Station

  campaign) funded the printing and distribution of additional copies of th
