 ses on experimentation through layering of several media\; assemblage\, vi
 deo animation\, and collage. Layered images and sound come out of her inte
 rest of the juxtaposition between the rational and the idea of truth\, wit
 h the irrational and the idea of the absurd. Her sources vary from current
  social events to historical and art historical references and literature\
 , with a slight nod to everyday life. Holohan intentionally uses distincti
 vely simple materials and methods to capture and investigate these images 
 by giving a sense of familiarity where process and handwork is evident.\nH
 olohan will be presenting animated video works inspired by the four classi
 c elements of nature: earth\, air\, water\, and fire. Layered into the ani
 mation will be hand produced marks\, forms and shapes\, referencing experi
 mental film such as Harry Smith\, &ldquo\;Early Abstractions\,&rdquo\; and
  the work of Stan Brackage. Created and found sound will also be incorpora
