 \n\nSeminar: Online Fundraising and Social Media - The Fund Raising School
 / The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University \n\nBroward Cultural Di
 vision\, ArtServe\, Inc. and The Fund Raising School invite the area's cul
 tural non-profit managers\, board members and development staff who must r
 aise funds for their arts and cultural organizations to a seminar. Online 
 Fundraising and Social Media will be held on Friday\, November 5\, 2010\, 
 from 9:00 am &ndash\; 5:00 pm at ArtServe Inc\, 1350 East Sunrise Boulevar
 d in Fort Lauderdale.\n\n\nPresented by The Fund Raising School associated
  with The Center on Philanthropy at Indiana University\, Online Fundraisin
 g and Social Media is a one-day course that teaches participants how to us
 e e-mail\, online tools\, and social networking sites effectively as part 
 of their friend-raising and fundraising strategies. Participants will revi
 ew the array of tools available for connecting with donors online\, includ
 ing e-mail\, websites\, Facebook and Twitter\, and examine what each tool 
 will and will not do. Participants will acquire knowledge and practical ad
 vice that will enable them to create a solid e-strategy for building relat
 ionships and donations for their organizations. It will also guide partici
 pants with focus on what to think about before committing to a social medi
 a campaign for non-profits.\n\n\nJeff Stanger\, development director for T
 he Salvation Army in Indiana\, will be presenting the workshop. He has bee
 n with The Salvation Army for seven years and serves as a consultant to no
 nprofits\, specializing in online fundraising\, social media\, and grant w
 riting. An alumnus of The Fund Raising School\, he has spoken to a wide va
 riety of nonprofit and small business organizations about social media and
  fundraising. He is also an editor and contributor to BlueTrolleyPress.com
 \, an online magazine geared towards non-profit fundraising professionals.
  The faculty creates a vibrant\, hands-on learning atmosphere to make the 
 course rich and enjoyable.\n\n\nDedicated to the advancement of ethical fu
 ndraising\, The Fund Raising School helps thousands of fundraising profess
 ionals around the world achieve new levels of success. For individual atte
 ntion\, class size is limited to 40 participants to allow students the opp
 ortunity to have maximum interaction with the instructor and with the othe
 r participants. The registration fee for the workshop is $35 per person\, 
 and includes light refreshments. Free parking is available at ArtServe. Re
 gistrants will receive a copy of The Fund Raising School's coursebook deve
