 s an artist of Hindustani Classical vocal music.She was featured in Mira N
 air's movie Namesake. She was born in Assam\, India where she started her 
 initial lessons in the music at a very early age from Sri Ajit Dutta. Late
 r\, she had the privilege of receiving extensive training of Hindustani Cl
 assical vocal music from Sri Biren Phukan in Guahati\, Assam. Mitali came 
 to Calcutta in 1983 where she initially received lessons from Srimati Meer
 a Banerjee\, the noted vocalist. Since 1984 Mitali was under the tutelage 
 of famous violin maestro Padmabhushan Pandit V. G. Jog.\n \n\nStart time:
