 ts will be the subject of the Guild's February program and will be present
 ed by basketry artist\, Christine Carton. Christine will display different
  styles of baskets\, demonstrate how they are made and give a brief histor
 y on the Nantucket Basket. Christine is mindful of the integrity of the Sh
 aker and Nantucket art form but is interested in adding her own interpreta
 tions by exploring weave patterns and using different natural fibers such 
 as\, hand tied ramie\, hemp bark\, hand spun raw silk\, seed pods and bran
 ches. Christine uses molds that were designed to her specifications and sh
 e commissions ivory and wood carvings that adorn the Nantucket Baskets. Th
 e Coral Springs Craft Guild invites the public to this wonderful program. 
 There is no charge and reservations are not necessary for this particular
