  and forms to the JM Family Enterprises Gallery. Abstract art is defined a
 s art that has no reference to any figurative reality. In its wider defini
 tion the term describes art that depicts real forms in a simplified or rat
 her reduced way - keeping only an allusion of the original natural subject
 . \nELEGIBILITY:\nUndefined! is open to ArtServe members as well as nonmem
 bers and students. All artwork entered must reflect &ldquo\;non-figurative
  art\,' 'non-objective art\,' and 'non-representational art'.\nMEDIA FOR G
 ALLERY SHOW:\nOpen theme\, open media. Artwork of any media will be accept
 ed. The Curator has final acceptance of content. Selection for this show w
 ill be based upon space availability.\nMEET THE JUDGES: \nFrank Balzano: F
 aculty member at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale (AI). Blazano curren
 tly works as the Creative Director for the Design Honors Group and Artemis
  Design Group\, both of which are a student based design team and advertis
 ing agency\, located within the AI\, providing graphic work for non-profit
  organizations within our community.\nProfessor Linda Weeks: Linda Weeks h
 olds a Master of Fine Arts in Advertising Design from Syracuse University.
  She is a faculty member at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale\, and has
  been teaching Graphic Design for twenty-four years. Weeks develops packag
 e design\, graphics\, collateral\, and actual product development in the H
 ealth and Beauty Industry. She also provides strategies and seeks celebrit
 y endorsements for products. The cosmetic line she developed\, Arpeggio\, 
 was the official cosmetics for Miss Universe  (R)  and Miss U.S.A.  (R) . 
 Other endeavors include designing and developing products in collaboration
  with Warner Brothers and Disney for the international trade and travel re
 tail market. She is a member of Point-of-Purchase Advertising Internationa
 l\, an international trade association for the marketing-at-retail industr
 y.\nCRITERIA: \nRibbons will be awarded for artistic excellence which incl
 udes concept and mastery of technique.\nAWARDS:\nRibbons will be presented
